Our Journey
In December 2004, CEHRT was founded with a bold vision: to bridge Ghana’s human resource capacity gap in environmental assessment and management. This vision was born out of our CEO, Mr. Yaw Amoyaw-Osei’s, deep concern about the country’s environmental challenges—particularly the widespread lack of knowledge, awareness, and youth engagement.
In response, Mr. Amoyaw-Osei first established Green Advocacy Ghana, an environmental NGO focused on education and public awareness. However, to sustainably fund this mission, CEHRT—the consultancy firm—was launched. Our story, therefore, is inseparable from that of Green Advocacy Ghana. One fuels the other, and together, they drive impact.

From a modest home office in Regimanuel Estate, Nungua Barrier, our humble beginnings were marked by passion, professionalism, and purpose. By 2013, we moved into our current office—an important milestone in our journey of growth.
Our Impact
CEHRT has built a reputation as a leader in capacity building and hands-on environmental consultancy. From the outset, we adopted a practical, mentorship-driven approach. Trainee consultants worked directly on real-world projects—many of them donor-funded—gaining valuable field experience in environmental and social assessments.
To date, we have trained over 60
consultants who continue to
make meaningful contributions
across sectors.

gas, mining, transportation, and
other industries throughout
Ghana.
